(Joshua 3:10, NIV) “This is how you will know that the living God is among you and that he will certainly drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites and Jebusites.”

1.  The Living God is the Self-Existent “I AM”

(Exodus 3:14, NIV) “God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

2.  The Living God is the One True God revealed to us as Trinity

(Deuteronomy 6:4, NIV) “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

3.  The Living God is Personal, Present and Powerful

(Genesis 32:9, NIV) “Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, Lord, you who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,’”

(Exodus 3:6, NIV) “Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.”
