(John 9:1–3, NLT) “As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?” “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.”
JESUS WAS CLEAR:
1. GOD IS PRESENT
2. LOOK FOR WHAT GOD CAN DO
3. EVERY CHILD GOES THROUGH THE WHY STAGE
(1 Peter 3:15–16, NLT) “If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way.”
(Psalm 145:13, ESV) “The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.”
4. YOU MAY BEGIN HANDICAPPED BUT IT IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY
(1 Samuel 16:7, NLT) “The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
5. LIFE IS WORTH LIVING; THERE ARE THINGS I CAN DO AND THINGS I CAN’T DO
(1 Corinthians 12:22, ESV) “The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.”
(Mark 5:41–42, NLT) “Holding her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means “Little girl, get up!” And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed.”
CHILDREN WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN GOD HEALED THEM
JESUS CHRIST IS MY GREATEST JOY!
(Psalm 126:3, NIV) “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
